| This country is hugely economically viable because of the canal. Only a few other industries besides the fruit industry would make up this nation's GNP. A large number of foreign companies reside here, especially those involved with shipping or logistics. |

After dinner, we took a drive out on the veranda. The debris dredged from the bottom of the canal during construction were used to create the roads that connect the several smaller islands that exist off shore to each other and the mainland. |
Abby is happy no matter what the occasion. She seemed to be irritated only 2 or 3 times during the whole trip to Bastimentos. Here late in the evening as we're about to board our bus to Almirante, Abigail is smiling and 'okay' with whatever is going to happen. |
