We took the panga and loaded us up to go to Pedro's village. The project we had in mind was to help the villagers finish a water collection station originally started by Agape Mission Society at the request of the people of the village. This station would be a multi-purpose building complete with water storage tanks and plumbing to bring the water down the hill to a pair of spigots for clean drinking water supply. |
|
As we approached the dock where we get out, we noticed this young villager waiting for
our arrival.
Our first visit would be to see how far in fact the village had proceeded to get toward preparing for our help in installing the tanks and gutter systems to the plumbing for the spigots. If they hadn't got to the point of even digging out the trench for the water lines to the spigots, we were instructed to have them do that part of the job, then we would return. |

There are several men and some older boys who direct us to the path up the hill to
where the water station is.
At the top of the hill, we meet up with our mentors.
We will see where God will lead us in all of this... |
|
From the top of the hill where the water station is, the village below looks quite
lovely.
After working on the gutters and tanks this first day, we decide to take a break and
go see who else lives in the village and what they are up to. |

On the last day after we finished the details to the water station, we visited with
the villagers for a mid-day meal which had us meet in the village lodge together. |
